Paul Kleesmaa

Paul started to practice yoga in 1993 with Krishna Lodh. From 2005 he began to study with Pattabhi Jois at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institiute (now known as the KPJAYI) for extended periods every year.

He was authorised by the KPJAYI in March 2009. Paul Has been teaching since 1999, and also holds the British Wheel of Yoga Teachers Diploma.

His Mysore Level 2 authorisation means that he has been given the blessing of Sharath Jois to take students through the Primary Series and on to the end of the Intermediate Series. Authorised teachers uphold the 'Parampara' or lineage of the practice passed down through the generations from teacher to student. Currently Paul is one of only a handful of level 2 authorised teachers in Britain today.

Paul's style of teaching makes the pracice both enjoyable and accessible to all people. He believes that everyone can benefit from this wonderful system.

At Ashtanga Yoga Nottingham we are dedicated to teaching the traditional method as taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois, as still taught at the KPJAYI in Mysore today. See

Jane Wyer

I first began to teach in 1998 and in 2005 travelled to Mysore, India, to practice Ashtanga yoga with Shri k Pattabhi Jois.
Since then I have returned frequently for extended periods of study, and was authorized to teach at level 1 in 2011 by his Grandson, Sharath Jois.

I am devoted to practising and teaching the traditional system as passed on to me by my teachers. Yoga sustains us in our daily lives, and is available for everyone no matter what age, or range of movement we have. I am particularly interested in helping to to develop technique and a regular routine, in a safe and supportive environment. This sustained effort then brings about transformation in body and mind, promoting health, joy and mental peace.
I also enjoy teaching Mysore style classes where students are given instruction and adjustments to help them deepen their practice and move through the primary series at their own pace.
I am available to teach private one to one classes and small groups. For more details, please get in contact.
