Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga
This style of yoga involves working through a set sequence of postures arranged into primary, intermediate and advanced series. The student, helped by the teacher practices at their own pace and at their own level, working steadily through the primary series and beyond. This gives time for the student to work safely through challenges and promotes a healthy toned body. It also encourages a feeling of mental peace. It is suitable for beginners and more experienced practitioners alike.
Beginners will have a shorter practice, often starting with the sun salutations only, until strength is gently built up. New postures are then added, within the student’s own comfortable ability. It is a safe and enjoyable way to learn.
The provides an introduction to the primary series and is guided by the teacher. It includes the beginning of the primary series and is suitable for those with no prior knowledge or those who want to deepen their practice.
Full led primary
This takes the students through the full primary series following the Vinyasa count (Breathing and movement linked together). It establishes a steady rhythm and is ideal for those with some prior knowledge of Ashtanga Yoga.
